At Hillsdale Market House, we provide the freshest produce and quality products at unbeatable prices.
It is with great sadness that our family announces the closing of Hillsdale Market House after 85 years of service to our community. Effective March 29th, 2026, Market House, Sharon’s House of Pancakes, Underdog’s Sliders Spirits & Sports, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, and Blimpie Subs & Salads will suspend operations. Anytime Fitness and Biggby Coffee will remain open.
Our family remains steadfastly committed to our Hudson Store, associates and customers. We look forward to future investments there to continue our commitment and wide variety of services to those neighboring communities.
Starting Tuesday, March 17th, many products throughout the Hillsdale store will be discounted by 25%. This excludes meat, produce, alcohol, and some other items. From Friday, March 27th to 29th, all remaining products will be reduced by 50%. Inventory remaining after March 29th will be considered for transfer to our Hudson location or donation to many local food pantries.
During this closing timeframe we invite everyone to join us at Sharon's House of Pancakes, Underdogs or Krispy Krunchy Chicken now through Saturday, March 28th. These restaurants will remain fully stocked, staffed and available to those who would like to enjoy March Tournament Basketball Games or support our store and embrace the final moments of our longstanding grocery store which started in our community in 1941.
For interested parties, the Hillsdale property and equipment remain available for lease or purchase. We are currently reviewing some opportunities that could lead to the return of some of our prized departments, including Underdogs, Sharon's, Bakery, Meat, packaged liquor and more.
I want to thank our associates for their years of outstanding service. You were never just associates to us, you were part of our family! I am particularly proud of our team’s historic impact—from supporting local Independence Day Festivities to our contributions to many teams, schools, churches and charities, and through our heroic efforts during the pandemic to best serve thousands in our community. Your determination and service in incredible times of need will never be forgotten. These moments are a lasting testament to our heart and commitment to this community.
Unfortunately, despite numerous investments to reinvent our business, we can no longer continue operations. We are forever thankful to our customers and vendors who supported our family and associates for so many years.
Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when you're a hometown kid, but we truly did everything possible to remain a part of my community for as long as we could. Nothing but LOVE and RESPECT. Thank you for the memories.
